41ejmjnmbwl_sl500_aa240_.jpgI can’t believe it, but I actually caught a cold from the Elephant 6 Orchestra (I blame Nesey Gallons, who looked particularly under the weather when I said hi).  But regardless, I’m about to hit the road to see Dressy Bessy in Minneapolis and some other things for the weekend, so here are a few items of interest before I leave:

Southern Shelter has posted the Holiday Surprise Tour premiere from Athens’ Cine (or, at least, half of it). You can download what could be salvaged here.  (Thanks to Thomas Ricci for the link.)

In my write-up of the Chicago show I lamented that I couldn’t see all of the Brian Dewan filmstrips that were being screened during the Holiday Surprise tour.  Well, now I can: Chris Yetter has pointed out that Dewan is releasing a DVD of the filmstrips on December 1st.  You can pre-order it here.  “Beep.”

Heather McIntosh is accepting submissions for her second curated compilation CD of experimental music, AUX 2.  (The first AUX featured McIntosh, W. Cullen Hart, Hannah Jones, Korena Pang, Pelican City, and more.)  If you’re interested in contributing, contact Heather through The Instruments‘ MySpace.

And by the way, I saw the Flaming LipsChristmas on Mars yesterday…and the Major Organ and the Adding Machine movie is so much better.  Really.  Jeff Mangum in a lobster suit > Fred Armisen in a spacesuit.
