It’s voting day today. You may have heard, somewhere. Anyway, be sure to get over to your local polling place if you haven’t voted early. My local place is a small church which is almost always deserted when we arrive to vote (around lunchtime), even for this year’s Democratic primary, so I’ll be really interested to see if there’s a line this time.
At ofmontreal.net I just posted a Minitel Rose remix of of Montreal’s “Gallery Piece.” Below is a direct link to the MP3. It’s a spacey, sugar-sweet electro-pop take on the song.

In other of Montreal news, Heartfast Records will be releasing a picture disc/DVD bundle similar to the Apples in Stereo “Stephen Stephen” release. The 7″ will feature the cover of M.I.A./Parvati Khan’s “Jimmy” (hardly a rarity, since it’s been everywhere already) with an exclusive B-side, “Middle Class Ghetto.” The DVD features 2007 tour footage. It comes out November 25th, and you can pre-order it now from Darla.com. Pitchfork has provided the beautiful Nina Barnes artwork (above).
