Dressy Bessy continue to offer a complete video accompaniment to their album HOLLERandSTOMP – here’s their latest, just unveiled, for “Roundabout”. You can watch the other videos here. Attention anyone in the Denver area: they’ll be playing City Hall at 1144 Broadway this Saturday.

Dressy Bessy wishes you a merry Christmas with this brand new, Tammy Ealom-produced video for an older song from their catalogue, “All the Right Reasons” (which originally appeared on Kindercore Records’ 1999 compilation Christmas Two, if you must know).  We got about eighteen inches of snow in Madison, WI, yesterday, and the windchill right now is about 20 below zero, so this video is kind what I needed right now…happy holidays!

I probably couldn’t be more late getting to this (to my credit, I have posted at least one of these before), but I just realized that Dressy Bessy have released a bucketload of videos for their album HOLLERandSTOMP.  Here is the complete series for your enjoyment, as posted on their website:

Dressy Bessy, whose Holler and Stomp was one of the most underrated (and underheard) albums of last year, will be headlining tomorrow night at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado, with Veronica & Murder Ranks opening.  If you haven’t seen them live, you don’t know DB.  But they’ve got some additional summer shows lined up as well, all in their native Colorado – here’s the schedule.

Dressy Bessy is currently on tour supporting HOLLERandSTOMP, their fifth full-length, and if you get a chance to see them, be sure to check out their Tammy Ealom-designed Barack Obama buttons (free).  I grabbed this one because of the nifty Pac-Man design; on the margins (invisible in the picture) is “www.dressybessy.com.”  They also have plenty of non-Obama buttons, also free. 

And their infatuation with Obama has extended to the “Obama rap,” part of a live performance from Denver’s Bluebird Theater on October 18th which you can download at the Flat Response. (This is a big set!)
